Welcome to the BHS Chess site!

Chess Practice Schedule Update

Once the season starts on Wed. Sept 27, we will be having practice  from 2:30-4:30 prior to our meets starting at 5:00 pm.

Please be aware that some of the meets are away at other schools. Additional practices will be determined on a

week to week basis. I will email all of the club and team members so everyone is aware of the dates and times.

History of  Chess in Barrington

The Barrington High School chess program originated in 2001 by head coach Steve Condren and assistant coach Jeff Doles. In the program's four years of existence Barrington has won 3 Mid Suburban League Championships. (pictures) (group photo) (chess commercial)
